Take out those special forces
Tuesday, August 12th, 2008So imagine, you’re in a fight against higly equipped special force unit. They usually move at night, and their main ways of visualizing the environment are night vision glasses, binoculars and scopes. They aim using IR laser beams (unlike the movie version of red laser pointers).
Because of the IR laser beams, they can see the dot quite nice, and the victim sees nothing but bright light at the end of the tunnel… so how do you sircumvent that?
Just use IR light detection sensors. The same technology they use will be turned against them. As soon as you see IR beam in the night, shoot at it. Looking at it this way, it’s as stupid to wear IR night vision equipment as it is stupid to use flashlight in a night fight…
