The purpose as a step, stairs, and an end-result
Yesterday I thought about something.
I’ve heard about a young man, who at the age of 20 decided to become a millionaire, at the age of 25. He took the challenge for himself, started dealing stocks, lost a couple of times, won a couple of times, practiced, studied, and guess what happened when he was 25 - he was a millionaire. The other side of the coin is, he had not set a purpose for the years after - and lost everything due to lack of motivation.
What does it have to do with us?
Simple. Look around yourself tonight, when you go home from work - in the traffic, on the streets. Huge mass of people is moving around, from work and to work, every single one with his own problems, dreams, his internal world. Out of this mass of people, only about 1% has a real purpose and dream in his life - and what do you think, is it strange, that the others feel unsatisfied with their lives? For the man with purpose, every position he stands in life is just another step to the target - and it doesn’t matter if it’s a bad or a good situation. For the one without a purpose, every position in life is just another hole or another stumbling stone. How can you be satisfied with your life, if you don’t have a purpose?
An example: if I put in front of me the vision, the purpose that after 5 years I should be a millionaire, I will be able to make at least one step towards it. If I don’t have a purpose and a vision, I will not make that step, and there is not even the smallest chance for me to become a millionaire, even if I want it too much. Even if I win the lottery, it will last a couple of months, and I will be at the starting point. There is a huge difference between wanting something and having a vision for it. If you have a vision, you will plan and will follow your plan with simple, easy steps. And those steps do not include small amounts of money, invested in the lottery
If you don’t want to put in front of yourself such a huge vision as becoming rich after X years, choose a smaller, which you could complete in several weeks. Once seeing what you are capable of having a vision and a purpose, you will start taking bigger and bigger challenges, and will see bigger and bigger changes in your everyday life!
